So here’s the thing; this is the first time England football team have made a final in a major competition in 55 years. For most people like myself this is the first time we could potentially see our national team win a trophy.

We as a nation don’t know when we could experience this again in our lifetime so we’re going to celebrate if the Three Lions manage to bring it home. Lots of alcohol will be consumed during the final and the hours after in which case a lot of people won’t be able to make it to work the next day.

Due to this reason I am creating this petition in order to have a public holiday on Monday the 12th of July 2021. This will save companies thousands in terms of sick days and will save us all the embarrassment of calling in sick from work knowing full well or employers know why we’re calling in sick.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to seeing how this petition does.

P.S: COME ON ENGLAND!
