With the new furlough date changed to the 20th March for some like myself this gave me some hope. I was a new starter at my previous company and unfortunately my employment was terminated due to implications based on covid-19. As I started on the 2nd March, which would be the first day for many new starters, there is now the concern around the RTI cut off date. 

They are suggesting that your employer will have had to submit their payroll prior to the 20th March to generate a RTI number. In my experience with employers pay dates at the end of every month this is far to early to have a cut off date for new RTI's to be processed for end of month payroll. 

Please can we try create awareness to the government that this needs to be looked at again and adjusted to the end of March to be able to actually cover the new starters this time around.
