Following Government Guidelines “Non essential Retail” will re-open in England by Monday 15th June. Included in that arena should be Tanning Salons. However that is currently not the case. At present we are categorised with the Hair & Beauty industry which have not yet been given any firm guidelines on their re-opening.

Tanning Salons are completely different to Hair & Beauty Salons in that we do not have any personal contact with our Clients. We are able to operate our Business at a safe 2m distance & abide by all safety guidelines issued by the Government. 

This petition has been created to raise awareness for the Tanning industry at this very difficult time. We  have been left in a grey area with no formal mention in any government policy. We want to be recognised as a separate entity to Hair & Beauty Salons which will allow all Tanning Salons to be re-categorised as “Non essential Retail.”

This petition affects approximately 7000 Tanning Salons in Britain, together with Salon Owners & their Employees which no doubt are still currently claiming furlough from the Government, when we could all be back at work.
