From the end of October to the end of December we are subjected to either full on displays or random fireworks being let off at it seems any time of the day!!!

We have an extremely nervous rescue animal so this makes normal life for her very difficult, as if she can hear a firework she will not even venture outside to carry out essential bodily functions but cowers and just pulls to get back inside, and this has happened at 16.30 when it isn’t even dark !!!!!!!

I understand the significance of celebrating firework night, and do not want to deny this BUT for all pet owners would like more controls so that animals are protected more during the later part of the year.

I would like NO fireworks to be let off before 6pm which gives the owners of animals the time to exercise their animal and then settle it down before the fireworks start, and NO fireworks to be let off after 11pm. ( exceptions 5th November and 31st December which would be 12.00). I would also like the period fireworks can be used to be shortened to the weekend before and after 5th November only, thus making the period our animals have to suffer much shorter!!!

December would only be December 31st.

Other religious celebrations would be date specific.
