The killing of companion animals is not acceptable. Boone County needs a humane officer to adequately investigate charges of animal abuse and neglect. Laws need to be enacted to stiffen penalties for inflicting injuries to companion animals and/or committing actions that lead to an animal's decline or death.  We are petitioning in order to get a Humane Officer hired in Boone County.
