Since the closing of SCU’s campus due to COVID-19, almost 90% of Bon Appétit workers have been unemployed.  Many of these employees have gone months without their salaries and will lose their healthcare on October 31st, with much uncertainty around whether or not their union will extend it.

Workers rely on the healthcare provided by Bon Appétit and are losing that insurance during this global health pandemic and time of intense stress.  

We must rally behind the Bon Appétit workers and show our support for them after years of them providing for us.  These are people we know and love; people we have built friendships and connections with during our time on campus.  Take action to hold Bon Appétit and Compass Group, their parent company worth almost 2 billion dollars, accountable, as they refuse to provide even basic care to their workers. Please sign this petition if you believe that Bon Appétit should guarantee health insurance for their employees for the duration of their contract, no matter if they are working!
