Divest From Racism    [INARG]   Invest In A Non-Racist World

The InterNational AntiRacism Group [INARG] asks you to help stop the promotion of racism by bol.com one of the world’s largest online retailers. Since 2014 INARG is educators, artists, writers, musicians, activists, parents, and grandparents working to stop use of the racist character, blackfaced 'Zwarte Piet/ZP/Black Pete’ in the Netherlands, and to stop the promotion of racism anywhere. INARG’ efforts, thus far, include stopping the promotion of racism by “Sesamstraat”/Sesame Street Workshop Corporation, Nickelodeon/Viacom, and North Sea Jazz Festival, among others.

Please join INARG in telling bol.com and it’s parent company Ahold Delhaize to stop it’s sale and promotion of all racist items by signing this petition.

In 2019 the InterNational AntiRacism Group contacted Ahold Delhaize regarding it’s promotion of racism via bol.com and regarding its own employee representation, or lack thereof, of black or other persons of color in ‘decision making positions’ (proceeded by a 3 year period wherein INARG campaigned to stop sale of racist items by one of its sellers “Fun en Feest/Fun and Party”).

Due to INARG', other groups, organizations, and individuals efforts, in September  2020 bol.com announced it would no longer sell any products featuring blackface or the Dutch racist blackface figure zwarte piet/ZP/black pete or anti-Jewish items.

While they have removed anti-Jewish, zwarte piet/ZP, and other blackface depictions/items, bol.com continues to offer racist items targeting those of Indigenous and African diasporas. Continuing to promote and offer for sale ZP character items and other items with wigs meant to imitate ‘black hair’ and/or black stockings, gloves meant to represent ‘black skin’.

bol.com remains one of the largest purveyors of racist items to the public.
