RELEASE TIGER TO LIONSROCK BIG CAT SANCTUARY

RELEASE TIGER TO LIONSROCK BIG CAT SANCTUARY
The Issue
Keeping a tiger in a backyard is not only dangerous, as the animal belongs in the wild and may be a threat to human safety, but is also selfish as the tiger is not in its natural habitat with its family.
A tiger is a majestic creature that requires acres of space to roam free and survive and could easily jump over a fence in a residential area. When the tiger owner was approached he had stated that he will simply cage the tiger when it grows bigger and is no longer a cub.
This is unacceptable, cruel and shameful. The tiger must be released to Lionsrock Big Cat Sanctuary!
Where and from who this family purchased the tiger is unknown. The trade in exotic animals is a threat to the survival of big cats and cubs are being separated from their mothers.
Since there is little that the SPCA can do as our laws regarding exotic animals are extremely weak and unhelpful, it is up to the public to express their concern about each others' safety as well as the well- being of this beautiful creature that is being deprived of a proper chance to live happily.
