BSU has recently imposed a mask mandate that doesn't reflect the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines accurately. Here's a list of things more likely to kill the fully vaccinated than COVID-19.

1) A car crash.

2) The flu. 

3) Pneumonia.

4) Parkinson's.

5) Diabetes.

6) Hepatitis

7) Cancer.

8) Smoking.

9) Obesity.

Most of these causes of death are just the risks that come with everyday life, what makes COVID-19 for the vaccinated any different? Additionally, there are people who won't take the vaccine regardless of how safe or effective it is, this is a risk they're choosing to take. Continuing to mandate masks is the very thing catered towards people not bothering to get the vaccine. These people will continue to live their lives normally outside of school and spread the virus elsewhere, nullifying any impact BSU's mask mandate has on community spread. Lastly, does it really make sense to hold a normal education hostage when the unvaccinated won't change their ways and continue to spread? None of BSU's actions will aspire any confidence in its students that normal life will return.
