On March 25, 2020 President Marlene Tromp of Boise State University sent out an email postponing Spring Commencement from May 9, 2020 to December of 2020. We are asking that the school follow in the steps of other universities across the country and consider postponing graduation prior to or at the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester. Allow for the Spring Class of 2020 to have their own graduation at a time closer to the actual date of competition rather than clumping them in with the December 2020 graduation. If the campus is safe enough for students to return to classes come Fall of 2020, then it should also be safe enough to hold a commencement.
