OUR ANIMALS NEED YOUR VOICE! 

It is no secret that the setting off of fireworks near animals puts them in deep distress. Over the past years, the setting off of fireworks in the Kyalami, Blue Hills and Midrand area has led to serious injury and even death of animals (including horses) due to distress and panic.

While the city of Johannesburg continues to ignore our requests for a ban on fireworks, we plead with our residents and estate managers to enforce a law prohibiting the setting off of fireworks in our area.

While we deeply respect everyone's right to celebrate their cultural and religious festivals, we don't believe such celebration should result in the harm and distress of animals.

Sound travels as do big booming bangs. The sounds are unnatural and have a catastrophic effect on our animals, domestic and wild.
