In its 2019 Annual Report, Activision Blizzard states:

"Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and their families and we are committed to their health and safety." 

Despite this statement, it has become apparent that employees are not paid a living wage, with some employees reportedly living out of cars, skipping meals to pay rent, and being unable to meet the basic daily costs of living. 

As a passionate Warcraft player, I was horrified to read about the conditions some of Blizzard's staff are living in.  My plea is this:  Blizzard - please start caring about your people in a meaningful way by making sure they can afford to live, particularly in such turbulent times, also referenced in your shareholder report. 

*As a subscriber since Vanilla and fully paid up Warcraft fan*, I have cancelled my subscription and will not return until your employees are paid a living wage and I will campaign until a minimum of 3.5% of your player base has unsubscribed until this happens.  Do the right thing.  Pay your staff a living wage.
