For the safety of the students and staff, we petition SMSD to postpone until summer the asbestos abatement and demolition of the old Trailwood Elementary school building. The closeness of the students and staff to the hazardous demolition dust and materials is an unnecessary environmental health risk. By postponing until summer, there would be NO risk to the students and staff.
