Save our Sunset Park Oak Tree before it is too late

Save our Sunset Park Oak Tree before it is too late
The Issue
Our beloved three-hundred year-old Valley Oak in Livermore's Sunset Park is scheduled to be cut down. The Livermore Area Recreation & Park District wants to limit their liability if a limb falls.
Instead of removing the tree, concerned Livermore residents ask that the District follow the recommendations in the Hort Science Arborist report by pruning the canopy and moving the playground equipment. This saves the life of the Oak Tree and reduces the city's liability.

If the District cuts the tree down, we will lose a tree that is older than our nation. Our tree, if given a chance, could live another three hundred years to be admired by many future generations.
Please sign this petition, and help us save our cherished Sunset Park Oak Tree from the chain saws.
