Treasure Planet is one of the most underrated Disney movies ever made, and I think it’s only right for it to have a second chance at success. Re-releasing Treasure Planet for its 20th anniversary (November 27th, 2022) would not only expose the movie to new viewers, it would also give long-time Treasure Planet fans a way to show how much we love this movie. 

I petition that the Walt Disney Company give temporary usage of Treasure Planet to a nationwide movie theater company for them to play the film in select theaters for one week, with each state promised at least one theater so that everyone has an equal chance of seeing it. No promotion will be necessary; Treasure Planet fans will be more than loud enough about this on every social media platform known to man.

Benefits of re-releasing Treasure Planet to theaters for its 20th anniversary: 

-New viewers

-Treasure Planet could potentially have a new revival after not succeeding in the box office in its initial run

-Both Disney and the chosen theater company are guaranteed a profit

-Treasure Planet fans will be very happy

-This re-release will definitely trend online, making Treasure Planet, Disney, and the chosen theater company very popular. (Just look at what Studio Ghibli does with Ghibli Fest)
