On October 24, a group of hardworking employees at the Peninsula Humane Society blew the whistle on dangerous conditions affecting animal care at the organization, including, but not limited to:

• broken kennels that have caused injury to animals;
• no air conditioning in back of PHS vehicles where animals are transported, causing temperatures to reach 96 degrees (and possibly higher!) 
• chronic under staffing, putting public and animal health & safety at risk
