So far this school year, Shrewsbury has seen 19 students hospitalized for mental health issues, 17 recommended for hospitalization, but not admitted due to family choice or no bed being available, 60 students referred for emergency health services and the counseling staff has done 31 screenings for suicidal ideation.

They have also had 40 families seek mental health referrals through a referral service the school uses.

"No one wants to discount the anxiety and what the real risks are relative to COVID," Dr. Sawyer said. "At the same time, fortunately at this point throughout the entire pandemic we have not had a student hospitalized because of COVID."

Yet our children must remain masked at school??

70k plus people can attend the Super Bowl, concerts and events have resumed, adults can roam freely but the same children who have not been the source of any major spread must pay??
