DEMAND FOR RESIGNATION OR DISMISSAL
OF SUPERINTENDENT OF GUILFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PAUL FREEMAN, ED.D

We, the undersigned, residents of the Guilford Area School District, request the Guilford Public Schools Board of Education investigate Paul Freeman's misconduct as Superintendent of Schools and demand his resignation or dismissal as Superintendent.

WHEREAS:

1. Freeman violated the Board of Education Policy by utilizing property of Guilford Public Schools on school time to disseminate material which included partisan political resources denigrating a particular political party and its supporters;
2. Freeman improperly handles parent complaints with dismissive, insincere and condescending tone, providing misleading information, therefore, placing children at risk;
3. Freeman lacks the judgment and temperament to meet standards expected of a school superintendent;
4. Freeman's judgement shows he’s unqualified to serve as school superintendent;
5. Freeman's misconduct damages public confidence in the ability of the school board to competently serve the school district;

NOW, THEREFORE, we request the Guilford Public School Board of Education demand Paul Freeman's resignation, or in the alternative, determine whether the best interests of the school district’s children, parents, residents and taxpayers are served by termination of his employment.
