Cameras in classrooms

Due to the verbal abuse and inappropriate treatment caught on audio camera at Berkeley Heights Elementary, we are proposing changes be made! My daughter with special needs was threatened physical harm by her teacher and aides in October 2018. In many instances throughout the recording it sounds as though she was struck.

I believe that cameras should be in classrooms as a reassurance to parents that their child is not being harmed. My other children can come home and tell me what happened at school. There are many special needs children like Adri who can not. Cameras will serve as an extra layer of protection for teachers and students, providing proof for what happened at school.

Please show your support for my child and others that possibly go through what she did. Sign the petition in support of making cameras in special needs classrooms mandatory.
