Zoo World, in Panama City Beach, FL, has exceeded the amount of space in their facilities by forcing exotic animals to live in small, insufficient living areas.
The location at 9008 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407, puts this facility in a heavily trafficked area with no room to expand. As well as no open pastures.
The structure and location of this facility puts the wants of turning a profit from tourists first, rather than the animals.
It has been voiced by many in the community the concerns of this establishment and the welfare of these animals. Many would prefer the freedom of the animals or relocation to highway 79 or 231 to ensure adequate space and care.
Additionally, the following could be grounds to investigate:
According to State of Florida Animal Cruelty Statute 828.13: “Whoever (b) Keeps any animals in any enclosure without wholesome exercise and change of air...” constitutes a misdemeanor of first degree and can be charged with a fine up to $5,000 or both a fine and imprisonment.
