The electric water pumps that cool most newer BMW/Mini Engines are absolute rubbish. The failure rate is astronomical as the replacement cost. The units die out in most cases with absolutely no notice and force the car almost immediately into limp mode which leaves the car, and its occupants in harms way should this happen on a highway or in traffic. This petition is crucial for BMW to take ownership of its choice in using inferior parts that are prone to failure. 

BMW should recall defective units or should at least provide an affordable alternative to the absurd prices for the components and their installation.

This is most definitely a safety concern to anyone on the road. In or around a BMW that uses the poorly constructed water pumps.
