Over 90% of women and girls travelling in Bangalore's buses feel unsafe and vulnerable. Most women do not go in buses after 730 pm because they feel unsafe in them. Almost every single one of us has had a forgettable episode while in the buses and several of us have not had the confidence to raise our voice against the harassment. Here is a chance to raise our Finger instead!

The Women Safety Alarm that Durga has brought out has been piloted successfully in Bangalore and passengers have used it too. Crime like sexual harassment and thefts have been avoided and the perpetrators have left the bus in such cases. When we have a system that is proven and validated and passengers using them, we should be implementing this across all buses in the city.

The Women's Safety Alarm (Durga Alarm) can be used by a lady when she feel violated or when someone near her is being violated. It is effective and quick to resolve harassment and most of all has been working in the city!
