Bluewater is home to a number of stores that sell real dog fur, namely Canada Goose being sold in Choice. They also have Snow and Rock selling real fur. We are asking Bluewater to adopt a fur-free policy.

Fur farming is a horrific practice, most animals are skinned alive and anally electrocuted unnecessarily. We have faux fur that involves no cruelty and looks exactly the same.

There’s nothing creative, progressive or glamorous about the horrific animal abuse that is Canada Goose. Wild canines (so similar to your companion canine pets they can have offspring), which are trapped for their fur, face blood loss, shock, dehydration, frostbite, gangrene, and attacks by predators. Mothers desperate to get back to their starving pups are known to chew off their own limbs while trying to escape. Animals who aren't already dead are often strangled, stamped on or bludgeoned to death when the trapper returns, often after weeks. But that's just the start.
Geese are also tortured for Canada Goose as they are used for down feathers. They are violently killed (for both their feathers and meat), and their throats are often slit while they’re still conscious and feel pain.
It's almost 2019 - There's NO EXCUSE for animal abuse. There's nothing but pain and suffering in the voices of the countless animals tortured and killed for a mere decoration on a Canada Goose or any fur product.
