Tomorrow is your chance. The California Department of Managed Health Care is holding a hearing on a proposed $1.2 billion acquisition by Blue Shield. CEO Paul Markovich will be there to defend this huge expenditure of nonprofit funds. Any member of the public wanting to comment will also get a chance to speak. The hearing is Monday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm in downtown Sacramento at 1500 Capitol Ave. Even if you don’t plan to speak, showing Blue Shield and regulators that you’re watching them is important.
