The Dispatch article states this proposed center would “potentially add up to 30 megawatts and 20,000 gallons of water usage to the Starkville Utilities system.” This is another stereotypical mining center located in a rural, underprivileged city. Local leadership and the incoming parent company has no right to infringe on Starkville and Columbus’ already burdened utilities and land. (As its proposed location is between them)
