The email below has been sent through to those who originally commented or made objections to the proposed development, there have been around 298 new documents added under planning application 24/0505/FH, the image shows the enormous and hideous design which is planned on a space that is enjoyed by the community and visitors, it is likely to have a negative impact on local traders and tourism, it will be a building site for many years, if this development goes ahead.
The first build known as Shoreline has sold very few of the 84 properties, they are unaffordable to most, the cheapest one bedroom apartment had a price reduction from £430,000 to £395,000 proving that further development is not required on the beach and Folkestone Harbour.
Please would you take time to access the plans and make further comments to save Folkestone from overdevelopment and to retain the memorial harbour that is loved by all that visit it.
