The Issue

As a concerned individual, I am writing to raise awareness and take a stand against the production and release of the movie "Prime Time." This is personal to me, as I am convinced that this film not only trivializes but also irresponsibly makes light of the horrific reality of child abduction and trafficking.

In today's world, where every day countless children are abducted, sold, and traded, the last thing we need is a film that undermines the severity and trauma of these heinous acts. "Prime Time," as it's currently designed, appears to glamorize or ineffectively depict predators, which is both dangerous and harmful to those who have suffered or are at risk of suffering such terrible fates.

Research shows that media representations have a profound impact on public perception and understanding. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, nearly 400,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States alone. Global statistics indicate that child trafficking is a multi-billion-dollar industry, affecting millions of children worldwide. The traumas inflicted on these children have lifelong impacts, affecting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Films like "Prime Time" have the potential to desensitize the public to these crimes, inadvertently contributing to the issue rather than helping understand or resolve it. By supporting its production or release, we risk encouraging the normalization of predatory behaviors.

Our goal is to block the production and theatrical release of "Prime Time" and further explore legal avenues against its creators for potentially promoting dangerous narratives. It is imperative for us to uphold a standard in our media that protects and defends the dignity and safety of all children.

Join me in this fight to protect our youth and demand that media creators take responsibility for their influence on society. Let us encourage films and entertainment that highlight stories of hope, courage, and strength, rather than those that entertain at the cost of child safety.

Please sign this petition to urge film studios and producers to cease the production of "Prime Time" and act in the best interest of children's safety and dignity.
