Petitioning Kevin Rudd (Prime Minister of Australia)

Block internet pornography sites across Australia unless opted with providers

The internet provides any person at any age with the world at their fingertips. This has great advantages but many disadvantages, the biggest being that pornography is open to anyone who can use the internet.

I petition to Tony Abbott personally to stop internet pornography being open to anyone, but instead (like what is happening in the UK) opt for viewing internet pornography with your internet provider. Add regulation to how internet pornography is accessed by forcing ISPs to block material by law unless the account holder opts in for the material to be seen.

Internet pornography is damaging. It places a wrong expectation in men and women of sex and sexual acts. Blocking pornography and having it as an optional extra across Australia will stop much damage to people's minds and start to create healthy browsing at home, in the workplace, in schools, universities, anywhere, everywhere.

Please, take a stance and sign this petition. Pornography is destructive.
