All inclusive

The Issue

All Inclusive,
I am a blind young woman from Derbyshire. I was born partially sighted in February 1997 and lost my vision in December 2007 due to health. I attended mainstream schools, with support and started learning Braille in January 2010 in year 8 and finished in December 2014. Learning Braille certainly was a real challenge just like learning a whole new language, just 25 months after losing my vision. I started this petition in July 2020, to encourage as many companies as possable to start putting Braille lables and lables wigh a larger font size,on as many products as possible for blind and visually impaired people to be e able to live and shop more independently. Products like toiletries, food in plastic and glass bottles, jars, tins and food in cardboard packageing for examples. As well as the product this must also include the used and sell by dates. I live in supported living and 1 Christmas someone brought me some Soap and Glory Shower Gel and Body lotion from Boots. Both products came in identical bottles and even smelt the same too. I went to ask a member of staff which 1 was which , after getting back up stairs I couldn't remember which 1 was body lotion, and as a result ended up having a nasty accident by using shower gel instead of body lotion. My skin became red raw , sore and irritated for about 2 weeks after about 5 days of using shower gel for about 4 days before my skin became stif and itchy it was a painful experience. Please sign and share and remember to confirm the email in your inbox, so your signatures count to help reach my goal. Cheers
