We have some danger present in Blind River and Algoma Country in regards to local privacy, police safety.

A loophole exists that allows remote viewing of vulnerable persons , children and  seniors to name a few, in Blind River, Ontario.

Videotaping a neighbouring property beyond the perimeter of the land owned/leased/rented or roadway cannot be done else ware for safety of all residents. Its time for an update for safety reasons .

Let’s voice our concern and update our laws to include fortification by December 2021.

We want to make it illegal to record video beyond the perimeter of the land actually owned/leased/rented including the roadways. This includes audio, video on your property and roadways where you walk and play…… more than ever.

In Blind River it is legal to videotape a neighbouring property including waterfront at any time of day or night .

A local Blind River and  Algoma Country By-Law will make it safer in the community as well as provide updated by-laws.

By signing this petition you are asking Blind River Council, Mayor , Blind River Police Board and all Algoma Country Politicians to stop allowing the recording of video and audio on someone’s private property including waterfront up to 100 feet from the shoreline.
