Peaceful presence of supporters welcomed! I have been tattooing and in the industry for over 15 years. I have been in the process with the city to get my home occupational permit for a Body Art Facility. Finally the time has come for a public vote
I am requesting a conditional use permit. :
-The business will be by appointment only.
-There will be NO advertising by signage visible to the road or community.
-There will be NO advertising or discussion of the business on school grounds.
-There will be NO loitering.
-There will be 1 employee ( myself )
-There will NOT be more then 6 customer per week.
-There will NOT be more then 1-2 cars per customer.
-There will be NO parking on public streets only on the private driveway.
-There will be NO change in the exterior dwelling appearance in which the home occupation is located or on the sit upon which the business is conducted that will make the dwelling appear less residential in nature or function.
-There will be NO visible evidence of the conduct of a home occupation when viewed from the street right-of-way or from an adjacent lot.
-There will be NO Operational Impacts. No odor, vibration, noise, or electronic interference or hazardous materials. All sharps containers will be taken to the landfill to be disposed of properly per Bear a River Health Dept, The Utah Dept of Environmental Quality, and the EPA.
-NO MINORS are ever allowed to get body art in Cache Valley. Not even with written parental consent.
I'm putting my feelers out there to see if I can get any supporters on the day of the Public vote. Wed March 16 at 7:00 at River heights city hall on 520 s 500 e in River Heights, Utah 84321. We want to be very respectful. I want to be able to show them that stereotypes on tattoos aren't true. We are very respectful, hard working, honest and peaceful members of society and the community. Who knows if anybody has had a bad experience before and thats all they can relate too. I would love to be able to prove to them that we are good caring people! This permit is the last permit I need to be complete and open shop! I have already passed all other inspections and Certifications Through the Governing Health Department, OSHA, and Fire Marshall. A law biding ,Health department approved and regulated body art facility deserves a chance here! If someone wishes to show their support and are unable to go to the meeting then writing a letter would be a great option. I can pick it up or you can drop it off in the mail : Darlin Russell 734-223-2064 // 698 e 716 s River Heights, Ut 84321
I'm very grateful that this process has gone forward to get public vote! It's moving forward and that's all I can ask for ! It's a long process and all we can do is be patient and be positive! Thank you for your support ! Also there is a group page " Save Lil Darlins Tattoos" for supporters to keep you updated.
The outpouring of support has been extremely humbling! My heart and soul is so full of joy due to your kindness that I already feel so blessed and lucky! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Having the Body Art Home Occupation will allow me to be able to focus on my daughter and my family. I volunteer at my daughters school and I have been weekly for the passed 4 years. I am able to make my own schedule and work around her educational needs in school. I have been offered a position on the PTA as President Elect. If I do not receive this permit I will have to respectfully decline the position and no longer be able to be involved in her schooling full time. She struggles in school and making sure she gets the attention she needs is very important to us. She has shown improvement this year and I wish to keep that going in the right direction for her success.
It was suggested that I also make this petition to show support.
Thank you again for showing me how amazing the Body Art Community is and that the Human race is beautiful and kind! I feel truly blessed!
Thank you for your support !
