SPENDING HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS DOLLARS TO SOAK UP CO2 EMISSIONS WITH CARBON CREDITS TOTAL WASTE MONEY

In my opinion, science and commonsense shows for Australia to continue to try to reduce our Co2 output is a complete waste of time and money, because:
A. CO2 (a trace element) makes up only 427ppm (parts per million) of the World’s atmosphere. It is essential for life, particularly human life, if it falls below, 180ppm, living creatures struggle to live and green areas become arid. This website explains why CO2 Is Essential for All Life on Earth https://climatechangedispatch.com/co2-life-earth/
B. While Co2, is the Green House gas that is claimed to form a “Green House Cover”. However, I believe that as Co2 only makes up only 0.04% of the Earth’s atmosphere. It is water vapour and clouds that make up 70% of Green House gases is the culprit. And this is why on clear, still nights, the green house effect, appears to disappear and the nights get so cold? But on a cloudy (lots of water vapour), breezy night it stays quite warm? In my opinion I believe it is the clouds that act as a ‘green house cover’ and reducing the ‘green house gases’ has no measurable effect on the World’s temperature.
C. As, Australia only produces 1.4% of the World’s, man-made CO2 emissions, while in 2024 China, India, Russia, Indonesia and the USA produced over 60% of the World’s CO2 emissions. This means that as Australia produces such a small amount of CO2 any reduction, we make will not affect the World’s temperature, as Australia’s reduction will be overwhelmed by these other Countries growing production, in an hour or two.
This then means that any system that requires the creation of and selling and buying of Carbon credits to offset Co2 emissions is completely worthless. And only increases the cost of doing business and increases the price of electricity to the consumer. Two examples of money wasted involving carbon credits.
1. There are currently 39 Indigenous-owned and operated carbon projects across Australia (Selling Co2 carbon credits, the current value of one is $38) – Made up of 34 savanna fire management projects. (The carbon credits are claimed to be made. By burning areas early in the season, rather than later. The earlier burning is claimed to release less Co2, but this is just an estimate) and five human-induced regeneration (HIR) projects. These projects cover 24m hectares, and annually generate 1.2 million tonnes of carbon emissions reductions and are valued at an estimated $60 million, (1,680,000 carbon credits). Comment John Moore. This 1.2 millions tonnes of carbon emissions reductions is only a guestimate, useless, as seen above and the burning is normal practice that has been going on for thousands of years. Why pay $60 million, for something that would have been done naturally anyway?
2. Treasurer Jim Chalmers has approved the sale of the 21,745ha Rushy Lagoon property in Tasmania’s northeast. The buyer has been revealed as a new fund – the Tasmania Natural Asset Trust – backed by investment from UK forestry and farmland investor Gresham House, global asset management group Aviva Investors and Australia’s own Clean Energy Finance Corporation. The CEFC has stumped up $69m of the fund’s $142m total, with the two London-headquartered investors contributing the remaining $73m, to kick off a forestry and conservation project that will generate returns through timber production and carbon credits. 9,000 hectares. The $69 million spent by the CEFC, has been wasted in this project and could have been spent much better elsewhere. Plus it’s another case, of two London-headquartered investors benefiting from Australian taxpayers.
A few facts. If the Rushy Lagoon farm was continued to be used to produce 'Prime beef', sold at the checkout, say at $25kg. A hectare would produce about 600kg of prime beef @ $25 = $15,000. Multiplied by the 22,000 hectares of Rushy Lagoon the potential retail production would be valued at $330million per year. And it is quite possible that could create 1,000 jobs all along the processing, transport and retail chain. Rushy Lagoon would produce that amount of economic, agricultural produce and jobs from year one and then for the next 100 years and counting. That would be available to local communities, Tasmania and Australia as a whole.
And surely the farm, continuing in beef production, could naturally sell carbon credits, from good farming practice, naturally will increase the carbon stored in the soil. As for the sale for carbon credits for the timber it would produce nothing for at least 20 years.
And the carbon credits are worthless, as they do nothing to stop the amount of man-made Co2 in the atmosphere. And making Australian industry buy them is only adding to their costs, making them un-economic and de-industrialising Australia.
These examples dramatically show that our petition: TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF ALL THE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS AND TO KEEP THEM RUNNING IS THE ONE OPTION THAT MUST BE ADOPTED BY ALL POPLITICAL PARTIES.
This includes Eraring NOW 2029, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.
OUR PETITION TO KEEP OUR COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS RUNNING. Is educating everyone of how important coal fired power stations are to keeping the Grid from crashing.

YOUR SUPPORT FOR OUR PETITION WITH DONATIONS WILL BE REPAID WITH BASELOAD ELECTRICITY FOR THE NEXT CRITICAL FIFTEEN TO TWENTY YEARS. Be it $10, $20, $50 or $100 please make a donation and keep our petition in the public eye. AND KEEP THE BLACKOUTS AT BAY. The more signatures we get the more wins will keep coming and the coal fired power stations will be kept running. Promote the petition on Change.org and share it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp or Email.
KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 24/06/26 5.55.pm AEST. Batteries 12%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 38% Brown Coal 13%, Gas 18%, Hydro 16% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 2%. 4.55pm, coming into a peak time when solar is just entering its daily 17 hour, sunshine drought and wind is pottering along (in all States, it is in single figures), with no guarantee that a wind drought, might not be around the corner.
Meanwhile our coal fired generators are the backbone of the Grid. 24/6/26 5.55pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 65% Solar 0%, Wind 1%, Qld coal 56%, solar 0% wind 4% Vic Brown coal 53%, solar 0%, wind 2%. SA batteries 12%, gas 77%, diesel 3% solar 0%, wind 8% and Tas hydro 94%, wind 2%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
AND THE PRICES GENERATORS ARE RECEIVING VARIES WIDELY. As shown by these statistics what the generators are receiving for their Grid electricity. 22/6/26 4.55pm AESDST. In Qld the generators are receiving $43MWh. NSW is being paid $198Mwh. SA is paying $312MWh Vic is paying $188MWh and Tas is paying $112MWh.
THE COST OF LIVING CRISIS, IS BEING DRIVEN, BY THE COST OF ELECTRICITY CRISIS!
STOP PRESS: WHAT CAN HAPPEN. South Australia 4th June 2024 9.05pm EST. Batteries 0%, Gas 97%, Diesel 3% Solar 0%, Wind 0%.
SA RENEWABLES CAPITAL OF AUSTRALIA WITH BATTERIES, SOLAR AND WIND PRODUCING NO ELECTRICITY, ZERO, NOTHING
In the current fuel crisis our petition is getting traction, we are up to 4,670 signatures, (that’s 4,670 emails go out, every update). Let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it. Continue to spread the word, to all family, friends, anyone you meet, particularly discuss it with shop and business owners. Ask the question, “How do you plan to cope when the blackouts come? The possibility is too awful to contemplate.
WE MUST KEEP THOSE COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING, TO KEEP OUR SOCIETY FROM HAVING BLACKOUTS, POWER RATIONING AND EXHORBITENT ENERGY PRICES
