AUSTRALIA DOES NOT HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF SUNSHINE AND WIND - ON CONTRARY DAILY DROUGHTS OF 16 HOURS
Our PM Anthony Albanese, Energy Minister, Chris Bowen Bowen, along with all Energy Ministers, politicians, bureaucrats and business leaders. Are constantly spouting that Australia has an abundance of Sunshine and Wind.
They all need to have a SERIOUS REALITY CHECK.
The facts are. Every solar panel, whether on a roof top or in a Solar Farm, has a 16 hours darkness, drought every night and some days with cloud and rain produces little or nothing. This means the daily restriction and uncertainty of fuel availability means a solar panel, can only supply electricity for a maximum of six to eight hours a day.
THIS MEANS EVERY SOLAR PANEL HAS A SIXTEEN HOUR SUSHINE DROUGHT EVERY DAY. Who would by a car that you could only drive for 8 hours a day at best. Never at night or when it was cloudy or raining?
Similarly, wind at the right speed, (between 12km/hr and 90km/hr), varies quite a lot. Particularly wind droughts can last for hours, days and even weeks. The Wind industry average is for wind turbines to only produce at 33% of their rated (full) capacity.
THIS MEANS EVERY WIND TURBINE, SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO ONLY GENERATE FOR ON AVERAGE FOR EIGHT HOURS EVERY DAY.
BATTERIES PRODUCE NOTHING, LOSE SOME OF WHAT THEY STORE. AND ONLY MAKE ELECTRICITY THEY STORE TOO EXPENSIVE TO USE. THEY ARE A WASTE OF RESOURCES AND MONEY.
These weather fuel supply droughts, make a mockery of the idea of abundance. And makes Solar Panels, Wind Turbines and Batteries, completely unsuitable and uneconomic to ever be an electricity supplier to a Grid that requires a reliable, constant supply of baseload electricity 24hrs a day, 7days a week (24/7).
AS THE TRUTH CONTINUES TO BE REVEALED THAT THE TRANSITION TO UNRELIABLES IS A FARCE.
It becomes very apparent that our petition
TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF ALL THE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS AND TO KEEP THEM RUNNING IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 27th July 7.45pm AEST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 45% Brown Coal 17%, Gas 3%, Hydro 8% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 27%. 7.45pm a time when solar has gone for its daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging only 27%, but ranging from a pathetic 8% in Qld, up to 90% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 27/07/25 7.45 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 74% Solar 0%, Wind 24%, Qld coal 74%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 61%, solar 0%, wind 36%. SA batteries 6%, gas 4%, solar 90%, wind 40% and Tas hydro 97%, wind 3%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
