POLLUTING FARMLAND IS A CRIME – Is one of the major signs that will be appearing across Regional and Rural Australia. Holding to account the landholders and the project builders that is decimating priceless, rural land. Killing the modern day ‘Golden Goose’, that will produce annually forever.
If a landholder, covered his land with salt or oil or even cleared an area of trees. They would be charged, convicted, heavily fined and even jailed.
Why then? Can Renewable Energy developers of Sunshine Catchers, Wind Catchers, Batteries (BESS) and HV Transmission Lines. Be able to permanently pollute, millions of hectares of priceless farmland. And not be charged, convicted, heavily fined and even jailed.
A. FACTS: The fact that Agricultural Land is annually able to rejuvenate itself and continue to produce food and fibre, is a miracle, and it should be kept as one of the most priceless, uses of land in Australia. If it is fertilized and nurtured it will continue to annually rejuvenate itself, and produce agricultural produce, for the period from 2025 to 2125, a period of one hundred years and then indefinitely.
B. Agricultural land that is nurtured and encouraged to produce, has certainly, one hundred times greater value than Solar, Wind, BESS Factories and HV Transmission Lines and even greater value than Gold or Uranium mines, which once mined out, have no value in future years.
C. Australia is mostly a dry and arid land. 55% is the amount used for agricultural land use. However, a huge amount of this agricultural land is sparse grazing land, lightly stocked with cattle, sheep and goats. This greatly reduces the available prime agricultural land to about 4%.
D. Agricultural land cannot be reproduced out of nothing. The number of hectares that is agricultural land is completely limited and once polluted it is lost forever, along with the produce that it would have produced and its economic value.
E. Agricultural Land if kept in its natural state, will provide for the Farmer and the Community in several ways, which can be seen by asking questions and making observations.
EA. What will the agricultural land produce in physical and economic agricultural production. that is LOST, to the community and Australia as a whole.?
If the Warracknabeal Energy Park is allowed to go ahead. Assuming a hectare of agricultural land will produce wheat production to the present-day gross value of say $930 per hectare. Then when that $930 is transported and processed it will be sold over the retail counter (as bread) for say $7,140 per hectare.
Then For the land of the proposed Energy Park, of 26,000 hectares that is a loss of the sum of $185.64 million annually. That is an economic loss, plus the flow on of jobs to the Warracknabeal, Horsham, St Arnaud, Bendigo and Mildura Communities. Plus all communities in between and flowing on to Australia as a whole.
Over a period of one hundred years, 2025 to 2125, the economic value lost would amount to $18.5 billion dollars.
MULTIPLY THE $18.5 BILLION BY A 1,000 UNRELIABLE PROJECTS AND THE COST TO AUSTRALIA BECOMES $TRILLIONS OVER 100 YEARS.
AS THE TRUTH CONTINUES TO BE REVEALED THAT THE TRANSITION TO UNRELIABLES IS A FARCE.
It becomes very apparent that our petition
TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF ALL THE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS AND TO KEEP THEM RUNNING IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 27th July 7.45pm AEST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 45% Brown Coal 17%, Gas 3%, Hydro 8% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 27%. 7.45pm a time when solar has gone for its daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging only 27%, but ranging from a pathetic 8% in Qld, up to 90% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 27/07/25 7.45 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 74% Solar 0%, Wind 24%, Qld coal 74%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 61%, solar 0%, wind 36%. SA batteries 6%, gas 4%, solar 90%, wind 40% and Tas hydro 97%, wind 3%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
