The so-called Green House Affect is made up of. Water vapour being the dominant contributor, approx. 50% of the effect, followed by clouds, approx. 25% and then naturally produced CO2 approximately, 20%. Other absorbers play minor roles. Note: Manmade CO2, makes up only, a small fraction, 0.4% of the 20% total CO2.
The notes below about testing whether CO2 traps heat and the effects of water vapour and clouds. Was taken from the website of The Royal Society of Open Science.
However, for these reasons, researchers I believe have wrongly chosen CO2 to be blamed for the so-called Climate Change Affect.
1. In the experiments, higher concentrations of CO2 were needed to get the required effect. And then were given the same powers, to the manmade 0.4% CO2, in the atmosphere.
In the test to compare CO2 against ordinary air. ‘The concentration of the CO2 partial pressure on the earth's atmosphere is approximately 4 × 10−4 atm, in this experiment, a high partial pressure of CO2 (1 atm) was used’.
Now, as I understand what was done. In the Lab tests to prove that CO2 absorbed heat. The balloon had to be filled with 50% to 100% CO2 in order for the heat to be caught.
A balloon filled with air (and its normal, component of CO2), soon lost its heat. In other words, to cause a Green House effect, the atmosphere may have to consist of 75% CO2. Which is impossible, so to correlate that 0.04% is going to cause a Green House affect, as it would if it was 50% of the atmosphere. Is drawing a very long bow.
1. The Lab test. A simple experiment has been developed to demonstrate the global warming potential of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas in the Earth's atmosphere. A miniature electric resistance heating element was placed inside an inflatable balloon. The balloon was filled with either air or CO2. Whereas the CO2 partial pressure on the earth's atmosphere is approximately 4 × 10−4 atm, in this experiment, a high partial pressure of CO2 (1 atm) was used to compensate for the short radiation absorption path in the balloon. The element was heated to approximately 50°C, the power was then switched off and the element's cooling trends in air and in CO2 were monitored. It took a longer time to cool the heating element back to ambient temperature in CO2 than in air. It also took longer times to cool the element in larger size balloons and in pressurized balloons when they were filled with CO2. To the contrary, the balloon size or pressure made no difference when the balloons were filled with air. A simple mathematical model was developed, and it confirmed that the radiative heat loss from the element decreased significantly in CO2. This investigation showed that the cooling rate of an object, with surface temperature akin to temperatures found on Earth, is reduced in a CO2-rich atmosphere because of the concomitant lower heat loss to its environment.
As far as I (John Moore) are aware, it is only modelling and conjecture that the small amount of manmade CO2 in the higher altitudes, is said to cause the Green House affect.
2. Naive ignorance, meant that CO2, was focused on, in the research as the main cause of the Green House affect. While the ‘actual culprit’, water vapour and clouds were not prosecuted, because it occurred naturally and wasn’t the focus of the research.
2. Research comments. Water vapour absorbs terrestrial radiation like the other greenhouse gases and produces a warming effect. However, there is also a cooling effect. As the water vapour rises in the atmosphere, it condenses and forms clouds. Clouds reflect solar radiation and reduce the heating of the earth. It has been reported that water vapour is the dominant contributor to the global greenhouse effect (approx. 50% of the effect), followed by clouds (approx. 25%) and then CO2 with approx. 20%. Other absorbers play minor roles [7]. Nevertheless, as the water cycle of the atmosphere is a naturally occurring phenomenon, this work is not focusing on its effects on global warming.
I, (JM) believe that a further indication that water vapour and clouds are by far the major Green House gas. Is the fact that out in the countryside, when the Sun sets and it is a clear sky and the wind is calm. The Green House affect, disappears and it gets very cold.
On the other hand, if out in the countryside and the Sun sets. And it is cloudy, with a wind, the Green House affect remains and the temperature remains much warmer.
Hence the comment "Nevertheless, as the water cycle of the atmosphere is a naturally occurring phenomenon, this work is not focusing on its effects on global warming". Admits water vapour is the culprit, but it is ignored, because it doesn’t fit in with the script.
I believe, that the very high CO2 concentration in tests, gave incorrect results. And ignoring the fact that water vapour and clouds make up 75% of Green House Gases. Makes claiming that the 0.4% of manmade CO2, is responsible for all Climate Change, is completely unbelievable.
And makes setting targets to reduce CO2 emissions by 82%, completely worthless and the actions to do so are extremely economically damaging, create energy shortages, extreme price hikes, ruins agricultural production, slaughters wildlife. Ruins Rural Australia and devastates the environment.
The Transition to Unreliables, will turn out to be the biggest peace time disaster in Australia's history. All based on incorrect research, modelling and assumptions.
AS THE TRUTH CONTINUES TO BE REVEALED THAT THE TRANSITION TO UNRELIABLES IS A FARCE.
It becomes very apparent that our petition
TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF ALL THE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS AND TO KEEP THEM RUNNING IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 45% Brown Coal 17%, Gas 3%, Hydro 8% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 27%. 7.45pm a time when solar has gone for its daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging only 27%, but ranging from a pathetic 8% in Qld, up to 90% in SA.
