For so many ignorant people, it is easy to chant ‘Save the Planet, Ban Fossil Fuels’. Without having the slightest understanding, as to what a disaster that would be.
To begin it is a matter of fact, that right at this moment, 2.45pm AEST on the 26th of April in the Eastern States. Fossil fuels in the form of black coal is providing 41%, brown coal 22% and gas 3%. For a total of 66% of the electricity generated by coal and gas, without which the Grid would be blacked out.
Secondly, in the form of transport. Cars, trucks, trains and aeroplane's, all need fossil fuels, in the form of petrol, diesel or aeroplane fuel. Without fossil fuels transport would come to a halt.
Then a simple review of the role of fossil fuels (oil and grease) in lubrication. In almost every form of transport you can think of lubrication is essential. Cars (even electric ones), need oil in their gearboxes, trucks, bicycles (in their) bearings. Even wind turbines have 300l of oil in their gearboxes.
But above these basic uses. There are over 6,000 products and uses derived from oil/petroleum. There is 21 main categories. Adhesives & sealants, Asphalt, Batteries, Chemicals, Consumer products, Cosmetics, Detergents, Electrical equipment, Food additives, Fuel, Inks, Lubricants, Medical equipment & supplies, Paints and coatings, Personal Protective equipment, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics, Rubber products, Synthetic fibres, Synthetic Rubber, Wax.
As you can see fossil fuels are essential for every part of every day life. To chant Ban Fossil Fuels, means that person, needs to be educated as to what an infantile chant that really is.

It is very plain to see those who chant ‘BAN FOSSIL FUELS’ or ‘STOP OIL’, are illiterate, uneducated and have no place in business or Government, to be making policies.
In the coming Election, I would urge you to vote with Australia’s future and the future of your children and grandchildren in mind. Having said that with the information above as to why fossil fuels are so essential to a vibrant economy. I would recommend that for the Parties who are hesitant to guarantee the supply of fossil fuels. That the Greens be put last, Teals and Independents second last, and Labor third last.
AS THE DISASTER OF THE RENEWABLES TRANSITION BECOMES MORE APPARENT. IT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAT OUR PETITION TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF MORE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS HAS TO BE HEARD.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 14th April 2025 7.10pm AEST. Batteries 2%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 41% Brown Coal 18%, Gas 12%, Hydro 10% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 16%. 7.10pm a time when Solar has entered a daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging 16%, but ranging from only 8% in Qld, up to 38% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 14/04/25, 7.10 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 60% Solar 0%, Wind 14%, Qld coal 73%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 68%, solar 0%, wind 24%. SA batteries 0%, gas 54%, solar 0%, wind 38% and Tas hydro 82%, wind 13%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
