It can only be described as criminal the way the Rural landscape of Australia is being permanently polluted by tens of millions of Solar Panels, thousands of Wind Turbines, hundreds of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and thousands of kilometres of HV Transmission Lines.
The fact that because of a lack of weather fuel, Renewables, being solar can only generate (in Winter) a maximum of six hours a day (with cloud and rain, much less, even nothing) Wind has a terrible generating reputation, (because of wind droughts and gales) of only averaging eight hours a day. And BESS’s (only store) and HV Transmission Lines (only transfer) they generate nothing on their own.
The result is that Renewables only generate a pitiful, intermittent and unreliable, amount of electricity. They are only viable with massive subsidies and by shutting down the low cost, reliable, competition of coal fired power stations.
With every one of these Renewable Factories, the probability of the land, being reinstated to its former agricultural state is remote, if not impossible. And the owners, builders and hosts, of these Renewable Factories only pay lip service to the dismantling, disposal and restoration of the sites. Certainly, they don’t appear to have any physical plans or are will to pay a restoration bond.
And finally, how will the ‘mountain’ toxic waste be disposed off? It is a huge unknown problem. Recycling would appear to be extremely difficult and certainly uneconomic. Even the dismantling would appear to need to be done by hand, (so as to not pollute the land and environment) to be very labour intensive and to be extremely expensive.
There is a very high likelihood that the Companies that own/operate the Renewable Factories. When they become uneconomic, may become insolvent and walk away leaving a toxic mess behind. For the local communities and Councils, to live and deal with.
The sooner the ‘Transition to Renewables’ is stopped, the less permanent pollution will occur and a smaller mess be left to clean up.
In the coming Election, I would urge you to vote with Australia’s future and the future of your children and grandchildren in mind. Having said that with the information above as to why Renewables are devastating our Rural landscape. I would recommend that for the Parties who are promoting Renewables, put the Greens last, Teals and Independents second last, and Labor third last.
AS THE DISASTER OF THE RENEWABLES BECOMES MORE APPARENT. IT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAT OUR PETITION TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF MORE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS HAS TO BE HEARD.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 14th April 2025 7.10pm AEST. Batteries 2%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 41% Brown Coal 18%, Gas 12%, Hydro 10% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 16%. 7.10pm a time when Solar has entered a daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging 16%, but ranging from only 8% in Qld, up to 38% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 14/04/25, 7.10 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 60% Solar 0%, Wind 14%, Qld coal 73%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 68%, solar 0%, wind 24%. SA batteries 0%, gas 54%, solar 0%, wind 38% and Tas hydro 82%, wind 13%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
