There is no greater, an example of the senseless destruction, that is happening to Rural Australia. Than what is being caused by the scattering of thousands of wind turbines (on 280m towers, with fan blade diameters of 104m) all across Regional, Rural Australia. This will cause the unavoidable slaughter, that must happen to our precious, iconic birds, bats and bees. Because birds, bats and bees, fly and soar, over areas that can cover tens of square kilometres. Even more if they migrate between higher altitudes in Summer and lower ones in Winter. And as the turbines are put on heavily treed, high hill and mountain ridges, it is inevitable that the birds, bats and bees will be slaughtered and as turbines spin on for 24 hours a day, casually leaving small shattered carcasses, to deteriorate on the ground, or to be eaten by scavengers.
It is impossible, to believe that generating, a pathetic amount of intermittent, extremely expensive electricity, for a very short period of time. Is done, without a thought of the long term consequences for our precious and iconic birds, such as the Wedge Tail eagles, to name just one.
Just as China’s one child policy took 40 years, before its affects saw the Country begin to turn into an elderly dominated population, too late to stop its decline. So to will the affects of the ‘bird, bat and bee, slicing’, wind turbines take 5 to 10 years, before the silent, empty skies, ring alarm bells and then it will be too late. Once they are gone, once they are endangered, it is very difficult to get them back.
Of equal concern is that the birds and bats, play an important part in keeping a balance in in their feeding habits, keep a balance in the rural ecology. Feeding on insects, grasshoppers, grubs, cleaning up wild fruit, disposing of dead carcasses. If there is no birds and bats to do these cleaning operations, then there will be outbreaks and plagues of insects, flies, etc. It is these unforeseen circumstances, that can cause so much loss and create the need for so much effort and expense to be expended. All for a pathetic amount of electricity.
Another huge danger for birds, bats and bees. Is the huge fire risk that turbines and solar panels create. One small fire started from just one turbine or solar panel can cause an inferno that can burn out hundreds of square kilometres and within the fire area, the death of birds, bat and bees, can be devastating.
ANOTHER SET OF VERY IMPORTANT REASONS WHY THE ‘TRANSITION TO RENEWABLES’ SHOULD BE STOPPED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
In the coming Election, I would urge you to vote with Australia’s future and the future of your children and grandchildren in mind. Having said that with the information above as to why Renewables are devastating our Rural landscape. I would recommend putting the Parties who are promoting Renewables, last on your preferences. Namely put the Greens last, Teals and Independents second last, and Labor third last.
IF THE TRANSITION TO RENEWABLES IS STOPPED, IT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAT OUR PETITION TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF MORE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS HAS TO BE HEARD.
This includes Eraring in 2025, now 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 14th April 2025 7.10pm AEST. Batteries 2%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 41% Brown Coal 18%, Gas 12%, Hydro 10% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 16%. 7.10pm a time when Solar has entered a daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging 16%, but ranging from only 8% in Qld, up to 38% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 14/04/25, 7.10 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 60% Solar 0%, Wind 14%, Qld coal 73%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 68%, solar 0%, wind 24%. SA batteries 0%, gas 54%, solar 0%, wind 38% and Tas hydro 82%, wind 13%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
