What is overlooked when building Renewable Factories (Solar, Wind, BESS and HV Transmission Lines) on agricultural land is that their small amount of electricity production is only for a pitiful 20 years. (They are no sooner built, than they are worn out).
But the permanent pollution of the agricultural land created by the Renewable Factories continues to cause enormous economic loss and environmental devastation that lasts for a 100 years plus.
Examples of the economic loss that will be caused by putting Renewables on agricultural land.
1: In the Meadow Creek area near Wangaratta Victoria, a hectare of agricultural land will produce prime beef production, valued to a retail sales basis of a present-day value of $7,471,199 per hectare. For the land of the proposed Solar Factory, of 566 hectares that is a sum of $4.228billion annually. Over a period of one hundred years, 2025 to 2125, the economic value would amount to $223billion dollars. That is the economic loss, which would have a multiplier effect, as it flowed through the supply chain, as it would with the jobs involved to the Wangaratta community, surrounding areas and Australia as a whole.
2. If the Warracknabeal (Vic) Energy Park is allowed to go ahead. The loss to the Warracknabeal Community and further afield Australia will be. Assuming a hectare of agricultural land will produce agricultural production for an economic retail value of say $6,000 per hectare. For the land of the proposed Energy Park, of 25,000 hectares that is a retail sum of $150 million lost annually. Over a period of one hundred years, 2025 to 2125, the economic value lost would amount to $1.5 billion dollars. That economic loss, which would have a multiplier effect, as it flowed through the supply chain and as it would with the number of jobs involved to the Warracknabeal Community, surrounding areas and Australia as a whole.
3. In the Colbinabbin area near Bendigo Vic, a hectare of agricultural land can be used for a vineyard to produce bulk wine to a present-day value of $7,800 per hectare. That bulk wine after processing and moving through to be retailed, would have an estimated value of $23,400. For the land of the proposed Solar Factory, of 665 hectares that is a sum of $15.56 million. Plus, the 482 hectares outside the solar Factory area that is $11.3 million.
If the Cooba Solar Farm permanently pollutes the 1,147 hectares. It will create a potential retail loss of $28.86 million annually. Over a period of one hundred years, 2025 to 2125, the economic value would amount to $2.8 billion dollars. That is the economic loss, which would have a multiplier effect, as it flowed through the supply chain, as it would with the jobs involved to the Colbinabbin, Bendigo community, surrounding areas and Australia as a whole.
When Australians become aware of this reality and the economic loss created by the thousand Renewable projects? Over 100 years, is added together and it is realised that the Renewables project is only for a short period of time. The Renewables house of cards propped up by subsidies, will collapse and they all will be abandoned overnight.
WHICH WILL MEAN THAT IT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAT OUR PETITION TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF MORE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS HAS TO BE HEARD.
This includes Eraring in 2025, now 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 20th March 2025 8.50pm AEDST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 50% Brown Coal 16%, Gas 12%, Hydro 14% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 8%. 8.50pm a time when Solar has entered a daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging 17%, but ranging from only 3% in Tas, up to 46% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 07/03/25, 8.30 pm AEDST. In NSW coal is producing 78% Solar 0%, Wind 10%, Qld coal 74%, solar 0% wind 6% Vic Brown coal 71%, gas 6% hydro 14%, solar 0%, wind 9%. SA batteries 0%, gas 75%, solar 0%, wind 23% and Tas hydro 87%, wind 10%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
