It comes as parts of NSW bake in 30-plus-degree temperatures and concerns that reserve energy supply would likely be “tight”, given a surge in consumption and outages at four units across the state’s coal-fired power stations.
Urging residents to delay using dishwashers, washing machines and pool pumps between 3pm and 8pm, Mr Minns said that those who did jack-up their air-conditioning units may also face “through-the-roof” prices (4.25pm NSW $17,500 MW) as the government attempted to stave off possible blackouts.
As you will see in the AEMO report below, while four coal fired generators were closed down. Solar only was able to produce a paltry 10% and Wind 7%, totally failing to fill the Gap.
But that is only all that can be expected from Solar and Wind as they are ONLY PRETEND electricity generators. Because they are driven by weather fuels (Sunshine and Wind), they can only produce on average Solar 25% and Wind 30% of their rated or maximum capacity.
Even worse, because they are driven by weather fuels they cannot produce on demand, they may stop producing electricity at any time (Solar certainly for sixteen hours every night) and some days nothing at all.
SO THAT IS THE PICTURE WHEN THE 82% BY 2030 FRAUD IS EXPOSED, KEEPING OUR COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING WILL BECOME ESSENTIAL.
To restate our Petition is, (beginning with Liddell which closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in (2032 now 2028), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). AND THAT NONE OF THESE COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS BE DEMOLISHED AFTER IT IS CLOSED, BUT BE MOTHBALLED, SO IT CAN BE RESTARTED IN THE EVENT, THAT A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICAL GENERATION REQUIRES IT TO BE RESTARTED. Today’s prime example: NSW 27th November 2024 4.25pm AEDT. Batteries 1%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 51%, Gas 11%, Hydro 19% Diesel 0% Solar 10%, Wind 7%. 4.25pm Four coal fired power stations offline, Solar a pathetic 10% and falling by the minute, to zero by 6pm. Wind even worse 7%.
NSW consumers have only two certainties to look forward to, that is extremely high power bills and blackouts! That will be the future if the Transition to Renewables is allowed to continue.

To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 24/11/24 4.25am AEDT. Coal is producing in NSW 88% Wind 9%, Qld coal 84%, wind 12% Vic Brown coal 82%, wind 4%. SA gas 77%, Wind 23% and Tas 96% hydro, wind 4%.
