In the Update of the 5th November, I stated three reasons why Australia trying to achieve Net Zero by 2050 is a gigantic FRAUD!
1. CO2 is not a ‘bad’ trace gas. It is essential for our and every form of life. And the more of it in the atmosphere the better everything grows and the greener the Planet gets.
2. Any reductions in CO2 emissions from Australia will be swamped by other Countries emissions. As China, India and now the USA is generating as much electricity as possible from fossil fuels and generating more than 50% of the World’s Climate Change Gases.
3. Evidence points to the fact that cloud cover (water vapour, that makes up 97% of Green House Gases is the main cause of the Green House Effect. NOT manmade increased CO2.
(I read an interesting comment that CO2 was chosen for being THE VILLAIN that was causing Climate Change because it can be TAXED and Water Vapour cannot be TAXED).
In an article in the WE/Australian (16/17Nov) journalist Chris Uhlmann makes the following comments about the push for Net Zero by 2050.
The discord between reality and rhetoric is playing out in real time as the politics driving a warp-speed shift from predictable electricity generation collides with the physics of delivering constant power with inconstant supply. It is impossible to overstate the stakes if the energy transition runs off the rails. Electricity is civilisation’s nervous system; without it, everything will collapse. What is happening is akin to conducting a proof-of-concept experiment on an incubator with a child inside. And red lights are flashing on energy transitions here and around the world.
Energy gatherers cannot match power demand with supply because their fuel is literally as predictable as the weather. To turn occasionally available power into a reliable electricity system, the gatherers have to be connected to a complex and expensive life-support system the old grid did not need. Wind and solar plants cannot set the grid’s frequency, or maintain its stability. So essential system strength services that were once delivered as a by-product of generating electricity also have to be recreated and financed.
One begins to wonder if the minister understands that words have meaning. The distance between what he says and what is real is as vast as the generation gaps Labor’s decarbonisation ambitions are punching in the electricity system. There is another, terrifying, possibility that would explain this reality gap: that the minister, his staff, his department and all the states and territories that have been pushing ambitious renewables targets for a decade have no idea what they are doing. That Australia’s political class, and the bureaucrats who advise them are breathtakingly, stunningly energy illiterate. That they have been ruled by virtue signalling and not facts.
In an electricity system, the term for a catastrophic event is cascading system failure. It begins with an initial fault which amplifies through the grid and ends in a widespread blackout. The lights can go out within a minute.
If the mob wakes up to the fact that what was promised by Bowen can never be delivered, or the lights go out, then Labor will learn what a cascading system failure looks like when it is applied to politics. It will put the lights out on the government in a heartbeat.
SO THAT IS THE PICTURE WHEN THE NET ZERO FRAUD IS EXPOSED, KEEPING OUR COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING WILL BE SEEN AS ESSENTIAL.
To restate our Petition is, (beginning with Liddell which closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in (2032 now 2028), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). AND THAT NONE OF THESE COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS BE DEMOLISHED AFTER IT IS CLOSED, BUT BE MOTHBALLED, SO IT CAN BE RESTARTED IN THE EVENT, THAT A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICAL GENERATION REQUIRES IT TO BE RESTARTED. Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 16TH November 2024 8.00pm AEDST. Batteries 3%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 40% Brown Coal 16%, Gas 7%, Hydro 11% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 23%. 8.00pm a Peak Period, the Sun has set Solar is producing zero and the wind 23% could at any time drop to 3% of 4%. Or in other words solar and winds contribution is worthless and double, triple or quadruple the number of solar panels and wind turbines the result is just the same. 82% Renewables with no Sun, no Wind equals no electricity generation, guarantees blackouts
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 16/11/24 8.00pm AEDST. Coal is producing in NSW 64% Wind 19%, Qld coal 65%, wind 9% Vic Brown coal 59%, wind 30%. SA gas 17%, Wind 73% and Tas 69% hydro, wind 31%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT
