I have come to the conclusion that our Federal Government Energy Minister Chris Bowen, along with State Energy Ministers do not realise, that by covering Rural Australia, with Renewable Factories (containing Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Batteries and HV Transmission Lines), each of which is potential, electrified incendiary device. In doing so they are setting Regional Australia up to have infernos breaking out, in the area from Cape York to Southern Tasmania to Streaky Bay SA and all places within, every Summer, particularly Total Fire Ban Days.
THEY ARE CREATING A POTENTIAL SITUATION WHERE REGIONAL AUSTRALIA WILL SUDDENLY HAVE IN SUMMER, INFERNOS BREAKING OUT AT RANDOM AND BECOME AN AREA UNSAFE TO LIVE IN, VISIT OR TRAVEL THROUGH.
It is important to note, that in Australia’s history, a very large number of the biggest natural disasters, Australia has experienced have been bushfires. All of them have resulted in the loss of hundreds of human lives, the loss of thousands of homes, as well as livestock deaths being counted in the tens of thousands, wildlife deaths numbering beyond measure and each one resulting in hundreds of thousands of hectares of land being burnt to ash.
With this record, why on earth would anyone deliberately. 1. Encourage to be built up to a hundred or more solar factories, each one tightly packed with up to a million of electrified solar panels, as well as batteries and ancillary electrified equipment. 2. In addition, facilitating the building of thousands of wind turbines, that are put on 280m towers (each with the potential to explode in fire and out of reach of firefighters, also being on 280m towers on high ridges they attract lightening strikes, which causes them to catch fire). 3. The fire risk is increased by adding highly flammable Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to each factory and also building them as separate installations. 4. Then scatter them all across Regional Australia, across the farmlands, the remote grazing plains and tree covered ridges. 5. Joining them all up with a spider web of thousands of kilometres of HV Transmission lines, (which have a history of causing fires).
THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY THE TRANSISTION TO RENEWABLES MUST BE STOPPED. THE DOWNSIDES FAR OUTWEIGH THE VERY SMALL, SUBSIDISED BENEFITS, THE FIRE HAZARD ALONE BEING ENORMOUS.
IT ONCE AGAIN EMPHASISES WHY OUR PETITION IS SO IMPORTANT. Which is, (beginning with Liddell which closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in (2032 now 2028), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). AND THAT NONE OF THESE COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS BE DEMOLISHED AFTER IT IS CLOSED, BUT BE MOTHBALLED, SO IT CAN BE RESTARTED IN THE EVENT, THAT A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICAL GENERATION REQUIRES IT TO BE RESTARTED. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest.
May I strongly urge all business owners, large and small. CEO’s Managers, those in charge of aged care homes, and other public institutions, everyone in a position of management. Homeowners, etc. Reliable, low-cost power is essential. Blackouts are a diabolically, serious issue. Talk with your management, boards, staff about how it will affect your business.
The ACT Government claims that they are totally renewable energy powered. The ACT Government is deluding themselves and doesn’t realise how wrong they are. As all their electricity comes from the NSW Grid. It is more likely to be anywhere between 60% to 80% fossil fuels and only 20% to 30% unreliables, with the damage unreliables are doing to Rural Australia the whole project is a disaster.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 22nd September 2024 5.00pm EST. Batteries 1%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 43% Brown Coal 14%, Gas 3%, Hydro 5% Diesel 0% Solar 10%, Wind 24%. 5.00pm coming into a Peak Period, just on sunset Solar is producing 10%, another hour and it will be zero and the wind is so unreliable.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators. Coal is producing in NSW 70% Wind 20%, Qld coal 73%, wind 2% Vic Brown coal 51%, wind 42%. SA gas 11%, Wind 59% and Tas 66% hydro, wind 34%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT
