There, is a huge amount of anger, frustration and depression gripping Regional Communities across Australia, against the mindless delusion being pursued by those ramming the Transition to Renewables on Regional Communities. This ramming is polluting vast areas of agricultural land, raising the wildfire danger to extreme levels. Tens of thousands of ‘killing mills’ will devastate our bird life to the point of extinction and ruin the peaceful and scenic countryside, that Rural Australians love and millions of tourists come to visit.
This statement by Kilkivan Action Group Friends, clearly sets out our feelings.

It's been well over a year now, that you've been hearing Jim Willmott and myself talking about the "Billboard Campaign" that we had planned for the Gympie Region. This concept initially came about as an idea to get a message out to the wider community about the proposed Borumba PHES Transmission Lines planned for Kilkivan District.
But as Jim and I travelled as far afield as Canberra, Sydney, Allora, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bullyard, Biggenden, Kilcoy, Gayndah and many places in between over the last 18mths speaking in Town Halls to let people know of what has happened here in Kilkivan and what is going on Australia Wide with AEMO's 'ISP' (That's the Australian Energy Market Operators Integrated System Plan to transition our electricity grid to 'renewable energy' sources), it grew into something far bigger than just a campaign against the proposed HV Transmission Lines planned for the beautiful District surrounding Kilkivan, Manumbar, Kinbombi, Black Snake, Oakview & Woolooga.
It became very clear to Jim and I that the cost of this plan is not just monetary - the cost is the loss of the social, environmental and economic fabric of our unique Australian communities and our unique Australian environment and landscape.
The simple fact still remains that the vast majority of people in country communities HAVE NOT and WILL NEVER give Social Licence to any of these so-called 'Renewable Energy' projects. As property owners stand their ground and keep their gates locked, our Nation will eventually end up at a point where State and Federal Governments will have to force acquisition over property owners and their rights if these plans are to become reality. What sort of Nation have we become if it ends up that properties from the tip of QLD to the base of Victoria are being resumed by Governments for projects that are in complete opposition to the will of the people???
Through the unbelievably generous donations ranging from $50 to $20 000 from friends and supporters of Kilkivan Action Group, Property Rights Australia and the many other Action Groups that have been born across QLD over the last few years - Jim and I collected over $45 000 in donations which has enabled the concept of the Billboard Campaign to now come to fruition.

With the help and talent of a brilliant marketing professional, we have leased two large fixed Billboards (Gympie Golf Club & Noosa South) and a cyclic Digital Billboard (near KFC Gympie) on the Bruce Highway for the coming three months. The campaign also includes a web-page, corflutes, bumper stickers, TV ad and Radio ad.
We also have three shipping containers that have been painted with other images from our campaign. We are currently looking for homes for these containers on private land along the Bruce Highway, Mary Valley Road or Wide Bay Highway. Our dream is that more donations will flood in and enable the campaign to continue in it's current locations and for more Billboards to be leased along the Highways throughout Australia. Jim and I will also gift the images to any other Action Groups in Australia to use in their local area, they just need to raise the funds to pay for the Billboard space. Imagine seeing the same Billboards over and over again as you travel the major Highways of Eastern Australia?

This again underlines how important it is that (beginning with Liddell which closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in (2032 now 2028), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). AND THAT NONE OF THESE COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS BE DEMOLISHED AFTER IT IS CLOSED, BUT BE MOTHBALLED, SO IT CAN BE RESTARTED IN THE EVENT, THAT A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICAL GENERATION REQUIRES IT TO BE RESTARTED. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest.
May I strongly urge all business owners, large and small. CEO’s Managers, those in charge of aged care homes, and other public institutions, everyone in a position of management. Homeowners, etc. Reliable, low-cost power is essential. Blackouts are a diabolically, serious issue. Talk with your management, boards, staff about how it will affect your business.
The ACT Government claims that they are totally renewable energy powered. The ACT Government is deluding themselves and doesn’t realise how wrong they are. As all their electricity comes from the NSW Grid. It is more likely to be anywhere between 60% to 80% fossil fuels and only 20% to 30% unreliables, with the damage unreliables are doing to Rural Australia the whole project is a disaster.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 25th July 2024 5.30pm EST. Batteries 1%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 43% Brown Coal 16%, Gas 9%, Hydro 8% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 21%. 5.30pm a Peak Period and Solar is producing ZERO, a result that shows Solar Renewables are useless when they are most needed.
