The huge problem Regional Australia has with the Transition to Renewables, is that those managing the Transition are inexperienced, illiterate politicians, bureaucrats and subsidy seeking billionaires and International Corporations. Who because of their ignorance they have no thought, or couldn’t care less of the huge environmental damage and fire danger that they are creating across Regional Australia.

Two matters the video does not highlight is: 1. It doesn’t matter if you double or triple the number of wind turbines, if there is a wind drought, you will have no more electricity. 2. Putting wind turbines in such difficult terrain will attract lightning strikes, with resultant fires. And making the suppression of bush fires extremely difficult if not impossible.

If you have 3,000 to 6,000 wind turbines scattered across Regional Australia. Add in 100 or more Solar Factories packed with up to 1million electrified solar panels, tens of inverters, BESS’s made up of 100’s huge Lithium batteries and the fire risk will be so high. That on Total Fire Ban Days, the people of Regional Australia will need to be evacuated. And who will be left to stop the fires then?
In Victoria, the volunteer fire service, Country Fire Authority (CFA), 27 country groups have gone on strike. Stating that they will not fight fires in Renewable Factories, because of the toxic smoke and risk of getting trapped. They are also opposed to a greedy, investor centric renewables industry which is focused only on profit with complete disregard of the destruction of our unique, beautiful and productive regional landscapes and communities. IT IS EXTREMELY CLEAR THAT THE TRANSITION TO RENEWABLES MUST BE STOPPED NOW! TO STOP THE WASTE OF $TRILLIONS AND THE DEGRADATION OF REGIONAL AUSTRALIA.
This again underlines how important it is that (beginning with Liddell which closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in (2032 now 2028), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). AND THAT NONE OF THESE COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS BE DEMOLISHED AFTER IT IS CLOSED, BUT BE MOTHBALLED, SO IT CAN BE RESTARTED IN THE EVENT, THAT A SHORTAGE OF ELECTRICAL GENERATION REQUIRES IT TO BE RESTARTED. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest.
May I strongly urge all business owners, large and small. CEO’s Managers, those in charge of aged care homes, and other public institutions, everyone in a position of management. Homeowners, etc. Reliable, low-cost power is essential. Blackouts are a diabolically, serious issue. Talk with your management, boards, staff about how it will affect your business.
The ACT Government claims that they are totally renewable energy powered. The ACT Government is deluding themselves and doesn’t realise how wrong they are. As all their electricity comes from the NSW Grid. It is more likely to be anywhere between 60% to 80% fossil fuels and only 20% to 30% unreliables, with the damage unreliables are doing to Rural Australia the whole project is a disaster.

Example: Eastern States 10th July 2024 4.60pm EST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 50% Brown Coal 12%, Gas 13%, Hydro 12% Diesel 0% Solar 4%, Wind 8%. The Sun will soon set Solar will be 0% for the next 16 hours and between Batteries, Solar and Wind a pathetic 8%, a result that shows Renewables only purpose is to milk the Net Zero cow.
