The predicted failure of the transition to Solar and Wind unreliables, causing horrendous, blackouts is being predicted to occur as early as this Summer. A major energy price comparison site has warned millions could be in for a summer of blackouts, as extreme heat threatens the electricity grid. In particular, in the El Nino weather that is being predicted, solar panels reduce their electricity production in extreme heat conditions and El Nino weather is known for its calm wind conditions, which can persist for weeks at a time. IT WOULD MAKE EXCELLENT SENSE FOR THE NSW GOVERNMENT TO ASSURE RELIABLE POWER SUPPLIES (THIS SHOULD BE THEIR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY) BY FORCING THE REOPENING OF THE LIDDELL COAL FIRED POWER STATION.
IT WOULD BE A WAR TIME MEASURE, BUT WE ARE BEING THREATENED BY NET ZERO FANATICS.
It is gross negligence for the consumers of NSW to suffer the physical and economical consequences of blackouts caused by Governments and Private companies. Chasing the mythical and unachievable goal of reducing emissions of carbon dioxide (which is the life blood of all life on the planet). By delivering a 70% cut in Co2 emissions by 2035 compared to 2005 levels. A real fairy tale if there ever was one! As this situation unfolds, it becomes even more imperative that we keep up the pressure. To ensure. ‘That the closure of all coal fired power stations be reconsidered. But if they are closed, then (beginning with Liddell which was closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in 2028, Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). That they not be demolished, but be mothballed, in order that they can be reopened (when the unreliables fail as they surely will).

There will be no-one, businesses, homes, public utilities hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc., every State in Eastern Australia, who will not be affected.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.

Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 50%, Brown Coal 15%, Gas 4%, Hydro 6% Diesel 0% Solar 12%, Wind 13% (Another hour later and Solar will settling in for its daily thirteen hour sleep, when it will produce zero electricity, but be adding to our electricity bills for every minute of that time).
