Rural Australia is being covered by the rushed roll out of unreliable Solar farms, Wind farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and connecting High Voltage (HV) Transmission Lines. I believe the rollout is forcing a Renewable Factory Blight (RFB) on Rural Australia with devastating consequences.
The consequences are: A. Permanently removing, millions of hectares of agricultural land from production. B. Hugely increasing the risk of uncontrollable wildfires, which will threaten the safety of Country living. C. Slaughtering our unique wildlife in numbers leading to extinction. D. Permanently polluting land, along with surface and underground water runoff. E. Blighting the renowned scenic beauty and peacefulness of the landscape, along with despoiling tourism attractions”. F. Devaluing land values and country lifestyles.
To explain A. An RFB, completely ruins the possibility of any agricultural production from the land on which it is sited. Food production should be the number one priority for every Government. Productive agricultural land is a finite resource which must be carefully guarded. The siting of these Solar farms, Wind farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and High Voltage (HV) Transmission Lines (RFBs) will stop the land they are sited upon, from being used for agricultural production (and the associated loss of agricultural income to surrounding communities) for at least twenty years and more likely forever. Even after a very expensive decommissioning, building sites (which these RFBs, have now become) can never be returned to their former agricultural condition free from contaminants. Those responsible for this happening must be held to account.

I see these consequences of the RFBs, as being so serious, that the TRANSISTION TO RENEWABLES will have to be stopped and consequentially fail. It then becomes more important that our current coal fired power stations be kept running and the closed ones restarted.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example:10th Oct 11.10am EST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 45%, Brown Coal 25%, Gas 2%, Hydro 5% Diesel 0% Solar 19%, Wind 4% (A total for solar and wind of 23%. A peak time of a very sunny day, but the wind is having a calm day sleep. If coal wasn't filling the gap, then surely there would be blackouts).
We are up to 2,225 signatures, let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it.
