Hi Team members, NSW Premier Chris Minns commissioned a review of the States energy transition plan in May. The report recommended the Eraring Coal Fired Power Station remain open for longer than the proposed closure date of 2025. It is expected the NSW Government will now negotiate with Eraring’s owners Origen Energy to extend the life of Eraring.
It is becoming more certain every day, that the plan to transfer from reliable fossil fuels to Unreliable Solar and Wind fuels is bound to fail. The Unreliables each only have on average, sufficient weather fuel (Sunshine and Wind) sufficient to generate electricity for Wind (8 hours a day) and Solar (on a good day 6 hours a day), leaving between 16 and 18 hours every day when the unreliables generate no electricity. Add the facts that the Wind turbines (bird, bat and bee slicers) are decimating our precious wildlife and together Wind turbines and Solar panels will create a huge risk of setting rural Australia ablaze this coming Summer.
THE TRANSITION TO UNRELIABLES WILL BE THE GREATEST DISASTER FOR AUSTRALIAN ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS EVER EXPERIENCED.

As this situation unfolds, it becomes even more imperative that we keep up the pressure. To ensure. ‘That the closure of all coal fired power stations be reconsidered. But if they are closed, then (beginning with Liddell which was closed in April 2023, Eraring in 2025, Yallourn in 2028, Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045). That they not be demolished, but be mothballed, in order that they can be reopened (when the unreliables fail as they surely will).

There will be no-one, businesses, homes, public utilities hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc., every State in Eastern Australia, who will not be affected.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
