Bitcoin is Stupid and Does Not Deserve an Emoji

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? GOOD QUESTION.

A group of 35 cryptocurrency companies, who have made a fortune tricking regular people into buying their magic ponzi beans, think that Bitcoin deserves an emoji.  https://www.bitcoinemoji.org/

A bitcoin emoji is a bad and stupid idea. Just like bitcoin.

FOR STARTERS: A BITCOIN EMOJI ONLY HAS A FEW GOOD USE CASES.

Here are the only use cases for a Bitcoin emoji:
  • Help ransomware groups more easily communicate their preferred payment method to their victims;
  • Bitcoin cultists can use it to annoy people when the price of their libertarian scam-tokens goes up;
  • No-coiners can use it to taunt Bitcoin cultists when the price goes back down again;
  • Easier to distinguish between people who want to establish a patriarchal white ethno-state, and people who just like ancient Greek sculpture;
  • Efficiently communicate the concept of, "that's a terrible idea".
  Besides, there are already plenty of emojis that can be used to represent Bitcoin:

Coin emoji: represents the 'coin' in 'Bitcoin'. Orange circle emoji: is round like a coin, but also orange, like Bitcoin. Tangerine emoji: round, orange like Bitcoin, also is a type of orange. Bag of real money emoji: represents the money people pay for bitcoin. Race car emoji: represents the lambo you're buying next halving. Unsinkable ship emoji: bitcoin is 100% unsinkable! Bubble emoji: represents the unsinkability of bitcoin! Downward chart emoji: the best stores of value go down 85% all the time, it's not a ponzi. Poop emoji: represents 'Bitcoin'

Let's tell Unicode to say no to a Bitcoin emoji, again.

Thank you for signing!
