With the latest IPCC Report issuing a "Code Red" regarding our climate crisis, this is an open and urgent letter to Bitcoin developers to please recode Bitcoin to be energy efficient for the benefit of the World and future generations. We believe that nature and real prosperity go hand-in-hand and if Bitcoin transformed by recoding for energy efficiency, it would create enormous value to nature and people (including the Bitcoin community). 

To win the climate war, we must ALL reduce our energy consumption and we respectfully ask Bitcoin developers to heed this call too. We believe bold action is needed and after a decade of data, other crypto validation technologies such as Proof of Stake and Federated Consensus (which use 99.99% less energy) have proven to be as secure as Bitcoin's Proof of Work technology. As Bitcoin's energy consumption currently goes up exponentially with its rise in price, we believe it is in the Bitcoin community's interests to evolve for energy efficiency, not just the World's (whose energy grids are strained and that energy could better serve elsewhere).  

Bitcoin has an amazing opportunity to recode to be energy efficient for the sake of nature, humanity, and our civilization's future.
