Revoke Albert Schultz's honorary degree from Bishop's University

Revoke Albert Schultz's honorary degree from Bishop's University
The Issue
Albert Schultz, artistic director of Soulpepper Theatre Company, resigned January 4th 2018 amid allegations of sexual harassment.
Four actors experienced a culture of intimidation and sexual harassment over the period spanning 2000-2013. They report experiencing unwanted groping, harassment and sexual remarks in the workplace.
During the same period these women experienced harassment, Schultz was granted an Honorary Doctor of Civil Law degree from Bishop’s University on May 30, 2009.
South of the border, the disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein recently had his honorary degree revoked by the University of Buffalo amid allegations of sexual harassment and assault.
Bishop's University's values include community and excellence and its core academic competencies include ethical and moral reasoning. The allegations brought forth against Schultz indicate that he does not embody these values and competencies.
Bishop's University should revoke Schultz's honorary degree to demonstrate their commitment to their values and to show support to the victims of his harassment. Please sign below to show your support.
